The 1-m-radius Schaevitz centrifuge provides the opportunity for doing multiple, smaller model tests quicker and at less expense than for tests on the large centrifuge. The smaller model size limits the complexity of the models and the number of sensors that can be used, but it is ideal for many initial studies.
